Digital procurement that pays off.

I advise executive boards and leaders in procurement and digital who want to put procurement, commerce and finance processes on a new digital footing. I guide the way from strategy and platform selection to day-to-day operations and keep margin and speed in focus.

From strategy to day-to-day operations.

My experience comes from practice. I have been accountable for systems, led teams and defended budgets as a managing director, as a CTO and in programs at large corporations.

That is why I know how an IT decision shows up in the profit and loss statement, and I evaluate digital initiatives in euros. I talk to developers as easily as to CFOs, heads of procurement and executive boards.

My recommendations follow my clients’ business model and not a particular vendor. I stay on board until the impact can be measured.

  1. 01

    Understand

I analyze processes, systems, data flows and costs and build the business case together with procurement, finance and IT.

  2. 02

    Decide

We define the target picture, assess platforms and partners neutrally and plan a roadmap with firm milestones.

  3. 03

    Support

I steer the program, report openly on progress and risks and check after launch whether the goals were met.

Four levers I work with.

01

Digital procurement and B2B platforms

Procurement platforms · Suppliers · Purchase-to-pay

Procurement affects margins more than many people think. I design platforms, supplier processes and data flows so that purchasing, logistics and finance work well together.

02

Payment and unified commerce

Mollie · Adyen · Stripe

I select payment providers and connect them to the online shop, stores and ERP so that every payment arrives cleanly in accounting.

03

Marketplaces and composable commerce

Mirakl · Spryker · Shopware · Emporix

I build marketplaces that grow with the assortment. New sellers come on board quickly, and the rollout works across borders.

04

Artificial intelligence with measurable benefits

Vertex AI · Gemini · BigQuery

I use AI where it takes over routine work, for example when handling customer requests or analyzing data.

Results instead of reference lists.

Three projects show how I work. I do not name clients for reasons of confidentiality.

What I like to debate.

Good decisions often come out of disagreement. I am glad to discuss these four theses over coffee or in a short video call.

Thesis 01

Fewer systems, more impact.

Every new tool promises more efficiency and often just creates another data silo. Companies that consolidate their systems move faster, improve data quality and protect their margins.

Let’s talk about it

Thesis 02

MACH is not a cure-all.

A composable architecture can be the right choice, but it does not have to be. Open source software also delivers very good results in large enterprises, often at a fraction of the license costs.

Let’s talk about it

Thesis 03

Fixed prices become the norm, AI makes them possible.

Companies allocate budgets more carefully and increasingly buy IT services at a fixed price. This only stays economical if AI speeds up analysis, delivery and testing. Procurement and IT should therefore evaluate offers differently than before.

Let’s talk about it

Thesis 04

Speed beats size.

Competition is often won by whoever adapts fastest. Small teams with clear responsibilities usually get further than large programs with many rounds of alignment.

From the first online shop to enterprise advisor.

My knowledge of e-commerce comes from daily business. I was the first online marketing employee at a mid-sized company, later a managing director responsible for team and costs, and then a project lead in corporate programs. This experience still shapes my advice today.

Thoughts from practice.

In articles and short notes I write about digital procurement, platform strategy, payment and AI. The posts draw on experience from real projects.

English articles are on their way. Until then, you are welcome to read my articles in German.

When speed matters, let’s talk.

Whether you have a concrete project or just want to exchange ideas, 30 minutes are often enough to see more clearly.
